ID card full-format recognition based on ID card images

The insic ID card recognition allows the automatic recognition of ID documents and electronically transmitted ID card copies in accordance with GlüStV, JMStV and GWG.

After registration, the user provides a photo of the front and back of their ID document in the insic widget. This can be done using a mobile phone camera or by uploading it.

The service reliably checks all data fields and security features of an ID document, up to the limits of what is visually possible . For a successful verification, a specified value must be exceeded to determine the required verification level. All ID documents from over 250 countries and more than 12,500 formats are recognized globally. International police authorities and globally active banks use the recognition software.

This service can be used for the high-quality verification of incoming identification documents, for identification purposes under the German Act on the Protection of Children and Young Persons (JMStV), the German Act on the Protection of Money Laundering (GWG), or for confirmation of instant play under the German Act on the Protection of Children and Young Persons (GlüStV). If the documents do not contain the required content, the service fails. The number of retries for re-verification is configurable.

Insic ID card recognition processes and stores your data exclusively locally and does not transfer it to third parties. Due to the special technical features, we offer this service with a minimum order quantity of 5,000 checks per year.
