ROFUS System Denmark

ROFUS system for player banning under Danish law

The Danish Gambling Commission’s mandatory player ban system (ROFUS) is a cross-gambling tool for protecting players and combating gambling addiction . Players who have been banned from the ROFUS ban file are prohibited from participating in gaming operations or receiving corresponding advertising.

ROFUS covers all online gambling offering the option to place stakes. It applies to gambling operators with a Danish license, including Danish land-based casinos. Since October 1, 2023, it also applies to betting at physical betting outlets in Denmark.

Bans are issued as self-bans by game participants using their MitID . Bans can be set for 24 hours, one month, two months, six months, or indefinitely. Third-party bans are not possible.

Users register in the ROFUS system with their personal data. After registration, the user creates a blocking notice. Registration in the blocking system cannot be revoked. Temporary blocks are automatically lifted after the specified period. Permanent blocks can be lifted upon application to the Danish Gambling Commission, but only after one year.

During registration and each time you log in, providers of gambling products check the risk of addiction of the players using the ROFUS system.

Take advantage of our many years of experience with blocking systems under international regulations and management in real-time processing!
